This first issue is only the beginning of what I plan to be a long running set of short series. The first series, which starts here, takes place at the turn of the century and will run about 8 issues. The second will take place in the prohibition era of the 1920’s. The third will take place during World War Two. Eventually, the different series will follow the characters that you meet in this first issue right up to the present day.
The second issue is titled The Great Balloon Disaster. Print copies of The Great Balloon Disaster are special because it will require the reader to twist and turn the physical copy creating an interactive reader experience. This can not be done with the digital. The Third issue is titled Mayhem At The Levee. It is a story about a darker side of history and is told from the reader’s point of view. Anyone who reads it is the star of the comic.
The Fourth Issue is titled the Victrola Of Doom. It is a fully painted story. In addition, there is an audio drama of the story created in the style of an old time radio show of the 1940’s.
The Fifth issue is titled Snake Lady Of The Fair and shows the famous Chicago World’s Fair of 1893
The Sixth issue is titled Death On The Elevated and shows the deadly Chicago newspaper wars of the Turn Of The Century.
The Seventh issue is a flip book. Story one is titled Prisoners and spotlights the Iroquois Theater. Story two is titled Slaughter At The Stockyards and the reader visits Barack Obama on the day before he is elected president in 2008.
The Eighth issue is titled The Dead Teach The Living and is a large superhero battle in the cemetery, featuring real monuments seen in Chicago’s famous Graceland Cemetery.
